ICETE 2026 follows a book-chapter publication route: papers selected for the volume are published as chapters in an edited, peer-reviewed book published by Springer Nature, each with its own DOI. This page explains the path from submission to publication and the standards manuscripts must meet.

Papers selected for the volume will be published as chapters in an edited, peer-reviewed book published by Springer Nature. Each published chapter receives an individual DOI.

The Process

From submission to publication

  1. 1

    Submission

    Authors submit a full paper as a PDF through the online submission system before the submission deadline.

  2. 2

    Peer Review

    Each paper is reviewed by at least two members of the Review Committee. Author and reviewer identities are mutually concealed.

  3. 3

    Notification of Acceptance

    Authors are notified whether the paper is accepted for presentation.

  4. 4

    Author Registration

    At least one author of each accepted paper must complete registration for the paper to appear in the programme.

    Live Presentation

    The paper is presented in a technical session during the conference; presentation is a condition of publication.

  6. 6

    Revision and Final Manuscript

    After the conference, authors receive the reviewers' comments and revise the paper accordingly. The final manuscript is submitted in the chapter template by the final manuscript deadline. Manuscripts not received by this date are withdrawn from the volume.

    Publication

    Selected papers appear as chapters in the conference volume, published by Springer Nature, each with an individual DOI.

Standards

Requirements and ethics

These standards apply to every submission and are enforced throughout review and production.

Manuscript Requirements

  • Length: a minimum of 12 pages including figures, tables and references. There is no upper limit.
  • Language: professional academic English, checked for grammar and clarity.
  • Format at submission: single-column manuscript, A4, 11pt, 1.5 line spacing, submitted as PDF.
  • Final version: authors of accepted papers receive the reviewers' comments and a chapter template after the conference.
  • Originality: content must be original and not under review elsewhere.
  • Similarity: an overall similarity index below 15% is required.
  • Figures: legible at print size, with vector graphics preferred.

Required Structure

  • Title: concise and informative.
  • Abstract: one paragraph of no more than 200 words, placed after the title.
  • Keywords: four to six keywords or short phrases.
  • Main text: numbered sections (1, 1.1, 1.1.1), including an introduction and a conclusion.
  • Figures and tables: numbered in order, each with a caption, and each cited in the text.
  • References: listed at the end of the manuscript in one consistent style. Every reference must be cited in the text.
  • Author names and affiliations: leave them out of the manuscript at submission and enter them in the submission system instead.

Publication Ethics

  • Plagiarism, duplicate submission, and fabricated data lead to immediate rejection.
  • All listed authors must have made a genuine intellectual contribution to the work.
  • Any use of generative AI tools in manuscript preparation must be disclosed in a short statement at the end of the manuscript.
  • Conflicts of interest must be declared at submission.
  • Material taken from other sources, including figures and tables, must be acknowledged, and written permission obtained where it is required.
