International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering

Mechatronics and Intelligent Systems Across Engineering

Registration, submission and publication are all free of charge.

About the Conference

Welcome to ICETE 2027

ICETE 2027 brings together academics, postdoctoral researchers, research staff and engineers from around the world to present original work across electrical, mechanical, civil, computer and biomedical engineering. The common thread is mechatronic and intelligent systems: the integration of sensing, actuation, control, embedded computing and artificial intelligence. Applied work from any engineering discipline is welcome where it involves at least one of these elements. Well-developed postgraduate research is also considered where the supervising academic joins as a co-author.

Dates
18 to 19 February 2027

For Authors

How to Submit

Submissions are made online through the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT). Prepare your full paper as an editable Word file (.docx) and a matching PDF, and have the details of all authors ready. Papers must be prepared in the book chapter format using the chapter template provided by the conference.

There is no submission fee and no publication or article-processing charge.

How It Works

Submitting in three steps

  1. 1

    Prepare your full paper

Follow the manuscript requirements on this page. For double-blind review, remove author names and affiliations from the text, and remove author names from the Word file's document properties (File, Info, Inspect Document).

  2. 2

    Prepare your files

Save the full paper as a Word file (.docx) and export a matching PDF. Check that all figures render correctly, fonts are embedded in the PDF, and each file is no larger than 10 MB.

  3. 3

    Complete the online submission

Upload both files and enter the title, abstract, keywords and details of all authors.

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.

Standards

Manuscript requirements and ethics

Submissions that do not meet these requirements are returned without review.

Manuscript Requirements

  • Length: the main body must be 8,000 to 25,000 words, excluding the abstract and references.
  • Language: professional academic English, checked for grammar and clarity.
  • Format at submission: single-column manuscript, A4, 11pt, 1.5 line spacing, submitted as both an editable Word file (.docx) and a matching PDF.
  • Final version: prepared in the chapter template, which authors of accepted papers receive together with the reviewers' comments.
  • Originality: content must be original, not previously published and not under review elsewhere. Material derived from a thesis or dissertation is welcome but must be substantially reworked.
  • Similarity: an overall similarity index below 15%, excluding references, is required.
  • Figures: legible at print size, with vector graphics preferred.

Required Structure

  • Title: concise and informative.
  • Abstract: one paragraph of no more than 200 words, placed after the title.
  • Keywords: four to six keywords.
  • Main text: numbered sections (1, 1.1, 1.1.1), including an introduction and a conclusion.
  • Figures and tables: numbered in order, each with a caption, and each cited in the text.
  • References: listed at the end of the manuscript in one consistent style. Every reference must be cited in the text.
  • Author names and affiliations: leave them out of the manuscript at submission and enter them in the submission system instead.

Publication Ethics

  • Plagiarism, duplicate submission, fabricated data and undisclosed reuse of published material lead to immediate rejection.
  • All listed authors must have made a genuine intellectual contribution to the work.
  • Any use of generative AI tools in manuscript preparation must be disclosed in a short statement at the end of the manuscript.
  • Conflicts of interest must be declared at submission.
  • Material taken from other sources, including figures and tables, must be acknowledged, and written permission obtained where it is required.

All Dates
  1. 1

    31 December 2026

    Full Paper Submission Deadline

Every author submits a full paper, not an abstract, as a Word file and a matching PDF through the online submission system by 23:59 UK time. Submissions received after this time may not enter the review process.

  2. 2

    15 January 2027

    Notification of Review Results

  3. 3

    31 January 2027

    Final Paper Deadline

Authors revise the paper in response to the reviewers' comments and submit the final revised paper in the chapter template. Papers not received by this date are not considered for publication.

  4. 4

    12 February 2027

    Author Registration Deadline

At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the paper to appear in the programme. Registration is free of charge but mandatory, and identifies the presenting author.
